I have been teaching for 10 years. Something that sets me a part is having a recording booth in my studio so students and work on recording vocals in class to practice the element of studio recording. I love teaching teens especially and helping them find confidence and freedom in singing!
I help singers like you. Not because I have all the answers; but because I've spent over a decade figuring out why voices do the frustrating things they do; and I've gotten pretty good at finding the one thing that's actually in the way.
Your voice isn't broken. It's doing exactly what your nervous system has trained it to do. The breaks; the tension; the power that disappears the second someone's watching. Those are coordination problems; and coordination can change. That's what I do. I find what's getting in the way and help you move past it; using your actual songs; so the changes show up where they matter.
If you’ve been singing for years and something isn’t working anymore; or you’re just starting to get serious and want to build good habits; I’ll meet you where you are. Every session is about what will help you most right now. That might mean opening up new parts of your range; letting go of hidden tension; or realizing that what you thought was a problem was actually your voice trying to help.
You’re in control. I’m here to guide you; show you the best path; and explain how it works; but you choose the direction. My goal is for you to understand your own voice so well that you can spot what’s off; understand why; and make adjustments on your own.
I perform in musical theatre—shows like Shrek; Fiddler on the Roof; Titanic; Sweeney Todd; West Side Story; and Beauty and the Beast. The ideas I bring to lessons have been tested in real performance conditions. If it doesn't hold up on stage; I don't teach it.

I am a voice, speech, and accent specialist, as well as a Knight-Thompson Speechwork certified teacher. I teach speech and accents through a very physical, anatomical, and descriptive lens, while also including a very healthy dose of silly. I find that this approach pairs beautifully with Singing Athlete practices, particularly in terms of awareness and sustainability in performance.
