Who the Certification is For:
Each Singing Athlete Certification level is a three-day class, designed with the following populations in mind:
- 🎼 Voice Teachers (singing or speech) at any level of experience
- 🎤 Singers who want an understanding what brain-based voice training really means
- 🥇 Movement Professionals and Clinicians who want to learn about how the voice intersects with the body and the brain.
CERTIFICATION AT A GLANCE
Explore your path through the world of brain-based voice training
LEVEL ONE
Level One follows the first half of the book The Singing Athlete™, combining voice training with neuroscience, anatomy, and movement. This immersive training provides a practical framework you can immediately apply to your own singing and teaching.
What You’ll Learn:
- A clear introduction to the Singing Athlete assessment and drill process
- Practical tools to assess and improve breathing, core muscles, neck, tongue, and jaw
- Hands-on drills that integrate anatomy and neurology into vocal performance
- Master class sessions where you can perform and watch your colleagues put the drills into action
- Robust support materials (videos, PDFs, etc.) that will give you confidence in applying the drills
- A supportive learning environment in person (usually NYC) or online
LEVEL TWO
Level Two follows the second half of the book The Singing Athlete™, delving into topics that are not always thought of in the voice studio. The higher-order brain drills you will learn in this module will forever change what you think is possible in your voice.
What You’ll Learn:
- Protocols for reducing vocal fold swelling and sinus congestion
- Drills for helping intonation, music learning and retention of lyrics
- Balance and vision drills that will instantly improve vocal quality
- Muscle tests and assessments that help you tease out longstanding imbalances in your vocal support
- As in Level One, master class sessions where you can perform and get the drills in your body
- A supportive learning environment in person (usually NYC) or online
LEVEL THREE
Level Three moves beyond the scope of the book The Singing Athlete™, acquainting you with the periphery of the body. You will learn how well-developed maps of your joints and peripheral nerves is a complete game-changer in vocal strength and stamina.

- Techniques to neutralize hidden threats in muscles and joints, unlocking smoother, more reliable vocal resonance.
- Ways to reconnect with your foundation using simple yet powerful ground-connection protocols that bring immediate clarity to support.
- A rapid, four-step shoulder assessment that instantly stabilizes your larynx for more balanced tone and range.
- Muscle tests and drills that identify and resolve lower-body imbalances.
- Gentle nerve stretches that ease tension, minimize pain, and reboot spinal mobility for freer, more expressive singing.
- Approaches to confidently navigate and heal lingering joint injuries—sprains, impingements, or tears—with precise, targeted techniques.
LEVEL FOUR
Level Four (COMING 2026) takes you into the world of advanced neuro assessments that will help you truly harness the power of the nervous system. You will explore and assess the nervous system pathways that bring an even sharper focus to the brain-based lens.
What You’ll Learn:
- Gait analysis and movement-based strategies to optimize vocal performance
- Advanced vision and vestibular drills to enhance balance, coordination, and control
- Cranial nerve and cerebellar assessments for targeted vocal improvement
- A “Neuroflow” process that gives you vital information about your athlete’s nervous system
- A “capstone” experience in the world of brain-based voice training
